US Open of Surfing

Hi friends,

Schon am Sonntag, 29. Juli 2012 waren wir in Hungtington Beach, wo das US Open of Surfing stattgefunden hat. Da ich nur wenige Fotos gemacht habe, gabs davon bisher keinen Post. Letzten Sonntag, 5. August 2012 waren wir wieder dort! =) Meine Kamera blieb aber auch dieses mal mehr oder weniger den ganzen Tag in der Tasche. Es gab einfach viel zu viele heisse Typen anzustarren xD Nein im ernst jetzt, ich habe noch nie so viele schöne Menschen auf einmal gesehen! Ich weiss leider daher auch nicht wer in was gewonnen hat...dafür gibt ja aber die Website ;)

Ich empfehle also jedem und jeder ans US Open of Surfing zu gehen ;) hihi

We already went to Huntington Beach on Sunday July 29, 2012 and couldn't resist to go again last Sunday August 5, 2012. The event? The US Open of Surfing!!! I didn't took a lot of photos on both days since I was too busy with staring at all the hot guys xD For real, I've never seen so many beautiful people on one place! Well, that's why I don't know the results of the actual competition...but thanks to the website I don't really have to remember ;)

I recommend to attend the US Open of Surfing to every man and woman ;)

Los Angeles Gun Club

Hi there,

Wie schon angekündigt, sind Sophie, Patricia, Romina und ich am Samstag schiessen gegangen. Im Internet haben wir den Los Angeles Gun Club gefunden, der in der Nähe vom Flughafen (LAX) ist. Obwohl es für mich nicht das erste Mal, dass ich geschossen habe, war ich etwas nervös. Sophie und ich haben uns für Pistolen entschieden (Sophie hatte eine made in Germany und meine war made in Switzerland). Patricia und Romina hatten die grossen Gewehre (AK 47, an die andere kann ich mich nicht mehr erinnern). 

Ich war echt überrscht wie einfach das ganze war. Damit meine ich nicht das schiessen und treffen selbst aber wie das ganze ablief. Da konnte man sich einschreiben und wurde dann aufgerufen. Anschliessend hat man ein Dokument unterschrieben (keine Ahnung mehr was da drauf stand. Wohl dass man keinen erschiessen darf;)) und los gings mit einer kurzen Einführung. Danach gabs die Munition und die Zielscheiben und ab gings an den Schiessstand.

Ich fands toll und ich finde es ist auch wirklich spannend mal zu sehen, wie es ist auf etwas zu schiessen. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, was in den Leuten vorgeht, die einfach so in Schulen, Kinos usw. herumballern!!! Niemand hat das Recht ein Leben zu beenden!

Morgen ein etwas weniger gefährlicher Post... ;)

As mentioned in the previous post, Sophie, Patricia, Romina and I went to the Los Angeles Gun Club for some shooting on Saturday. We found the Gun Club in the internet, it's close to the airport (LAX). Even though it wasn't the first time that I shot, I was pretty nervous. Sophie and I chose the pistols (Sophie's made in Germany, mine made in Switzerland). Patricia and Romina shot with big guns (like the AK 47 - I don't remember the other one)

I was very surprised how easy it was. Not the shooting itself but the whole procedure. We just could enroll and then signed a paper (I don't even remember what it said..something like "your not allowed to kill someone";)). That was it. The guy briefed us, gave us the munition and the targets and some minutes later we were at the gun range. 

I think it's really cool to do something like that to see how it is to fire a gun. I can't imagine how it is to kill someone for real! Those who shoot people in schools, movie theatres ect. has to be very very sick!!! Nobody has to right to end a life!!

Well...tomorrow a little less dangerous post for you guys..so stay tuned ;)

Plans for the weekend

Movie Premiere: Total Recall

Hi sweeties,

Da mein Hostdad Fotograf ist und auch immer zu den Filmpremieren usw. geht, hat er Sophie und mich am Mittwoch zu der von Total Recall (- die totale Erinnerung) beim Chinese Theatre mitgenommen. Darin spielen Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale und Jessical Biel! Leider hatten wir nicht so einen guten Platz erwischt und konnten keine Fotos mit den Schauspielern machen und Jessica und Kate sind erst gar nicht bis zu uns gekommen ;) Es war aber trotzdem cool mal zu sehen wie das hier so abläuft und wir hatten auf alle Fälle Spass =)

Since my hostdad's a photographer and always goes to the movie premieres, he took Sophie and me to the Chinese Theatre where the premiere of Total Recall was. Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel are palying the main characters. Unfortunately, we chose the wrong places because we couldn't take pictures with the actors and Jessica and Kate didn't even come to where we stood. Nevertheless, Sophie and I had a lot of fun and it was cool to be a part of this for once ;)

Santa Barbara Visit Part 3

Hi readers,

Nachdem wir in Downtown Santa Barbara herumgelaufen sind, waren wir bereit für Sonne, Strand und Meer. Da wir aber nicht das gewöhnliche Navigationssystem hatten, haben wir den Butterfly Beach nicht gefunden. Ich bin mir aber ziemlich sicher, dass ihr den noch zu Gesicht bekommt, wenn ich in Santa Barbara zuhause bin =)

Auch dabei sind ein paar Schnappschüsse vom auf-dem-nach-Hause-Weg.

PS: Ich habe leider keine Ahnung an welchem Strand wir wirklich waren ;)

After we walked around in Downtown Santa Barbara we were ready for catching some sunshine. Since we haven't had the usual GPS we weren't able to find the Butterfly Beach but I'm pretty sure you're gonna see some pictures when I call Santa Barbara home =) 

There are some photos from our way home too in this post.

PS: I have no idea on which beach we actually were ;)
