Florida Trip - Daytona Beach

Hi there,

Daytona Beach hat einen unglaublich langen Strand, den man auch mit dem Auto befahren kann - natürlich nur in angemessenem Tempo (10mph). Zudem hat es einen grossen Leuchtturm mit einem dazugehörigen Museum, welches wir auch besuchten. Die Aussicht von dem Turm war super und die frische Brise war an dem heissen Tag willkommen.

Mein Eltern waren an diesem Tag echt wie ausgewechselt und wenn ich nicht die letzten 21 Jahre mit Ihnen gelebt hätte, wäre ich mir nicht sicher gewesen, dass es wirklich sie sind und nicht irgendwelche Aliens xD So albern und unbeschwert habe ich sie noch nie gesehen. Ich finde aber, dass das ruhig öfters vorkommen könnte ;)

Daytona Beach is a lovely place with beautiful houses and beaches. On the last mentioned you even are allowed to drive your car (10mph)!! Moreover there is a pretty lighthouse incl. a museum which we visited. The ocean breeze on the top of the lighthouse was refreshing on this hot day. 

The best part of the day however were my parents all silly and totally layed-back. If I haven't had spent the last 21 years with them, I wouldn't have been sure that it was them for real xD But I certainly wouldn't mind another such day.

Florida Trip - Orlando

Hi sweethearts,

Wir haben zwei Tage in Orlando verbracht wo mir eigentlich mehrheitlich Shoppen waren ;) Da wir dann nur noch ins Seaworld gegangen sind, gibts auch nur ein paar Fotos davon.. - enjoy ;)

PS: Ich hätte die armen Tiere ja am liebsten gleich alle ins Meer freigelassen, da sie kaum Platz hatten in den Aquarien...

We spent two days in Orlando and well, we pretty much didn't do anything else than shopping out the stores ;) Well, we also visited Seaworld and that's why I got at least some pics for you guys ;)

PS: I was shocked by the little space the animals had in their aquarium! 

 

Florida Trip - Sarasota

Das Ringling Museum in Sarasota ist einfach wunderschön. Abgesehen von der Kunst im Museum ist auch die auf den Fotos ersichtliche Parkanlage, in der sich das Museum befindet beeindruckend. Ich stehe ja total auf so verschnörkelte Gebäude und da wir so lange dort waren, kamen wir relativ spät in Tampa, unserem Übernachtungsziel an.

The Ringling Museum in Sarasota is absolutely amazing! Next to the displayed art inside, the park with its adorable buildings was my personal highlight. The ornates are very impressive and I'd love to see things like that in Switzerland as well. Since everything was so overwhelming and exciting that I almost couldn't leave the museum we arrived a little late in Tampa.

Florida Trip - on the way to Sarasota

Da wir nicht nur am Strand liegen oder die ganze Zeit im Auto verbringen wollten, sind wir nach Sarasota gefahren und haben diverse Zwischenstops eingelegt. Es lohnt sich wirklich einfach irgendwo anzuhalten und die Gegend zu erkunden.
Weiter sind wir dann zum John & Mable Ringling Museum, doch dazu mehr in nächsten Post.

Since we didn't want to sunbath the whole time or even spend the days in the car, we stopped now and then on some very nice places. 
Our goal was the John & Mable Ringling Museum which I'm going to show you in the next post.
