hier noch ein verloren gegangenes Foto vom anfangs Oktobert, als wir am Strand mit dem "Feuer" gespielt haben ;)

I totally forgot to post this cute picture. In the beginning of October my housemates and I went to the beach to play a little with this magic fire sticks - or whatever the name of those thingies is ;)

The Concert

sie haben über 11 Millionen albums verkauft und ich bin mir sicher jeder kennt die Lieder "Run", "Chocolate" und "Chasing Cars" von ihnen. Snow Patrol ist eine Irisch/Scottische Band und besteht aus Sänger Gary Lightbody, Gitarrist Nathan Connolly, Bassist Paul Wilson (er hatte gestern übrigens Geburtstag), Drummer Jonny Quinn und Keyboardist Tom Simpson. 
Das Konzert war einfach unglaublich und die Band hat bewiesen, dass sie live gerade so gut oder noch besser sind wie auf den Alben! Die Stimmung war unglaublich und Jung und Alt haben gleichermassen dazu beigetragen. 

Hier sind die versprochenen Videos - leider ein bisschen verwackelt aber immerhin etwas, um euch daran teilhaben zu lassen ;)

They have sold over 11 million albums and I'm sure everyone of you knows their songs "Run", "Chocolate", and "Chasing Cars". Snow Patrol is an Irish/Scottish band with the following members: singer Gary Lightbody, guitarist Nathan Connolly, bassist Paul Wilson (it was his birthday yesterday), drummer Jonny Quinn and keyboardist Tom Simpson. 
The concert was amazing and the band proved that they are as good (or even better) live as on the albums! The atmosphere was breathtaking, and that not only because the young people loved them and sang along with every song, but also for the middle aged who went crazy ;)

A Perfect Day

der gestrige Tag war einfach perfekt! Mein bester bisher in Santa Barbara! Ich habe ausgeschlafen, habe ein meine liebsten TV Serien angesehen, mich fertig gemacht, bin mit Sabrina und Christina fein essen gegangen, sind zum Snow Patrol Konzert (es war hammer!) und anschliessend noch zu Yorgurtland, um unseren liebsten Nachtisch zu essen: Frozen Yogurt! Ich bin echt mega happy und kannst nicht erwarten euch im nächsten Post mehr darüber zu erzählen!

Yesterday was simply a perfect day! My best here in Santa Barbara so far! I slept in the afternoon, watched my favorite TV Shows, got ready, went for dinner with Sabrina and Christina, went to the amazing Snow Patrol concert and finally had our favorite dessert at Yogurtland! I'm super happy and can't wait to tell you more about the concert in the up coming post!

Bella Italia

Letzte Woche haben Melanie und ich in ein italienisches Restaurant an der State Street getestet. Also eigentlich war ich schon einmal im Palazzio aber für Melanie war's das erste Mal. Da wir nach 3 Lektionen (à je 1h 20min) Cambridge Kurs am verhungern waren haben wir uns auf die grosse Portion gefreut - haben aber trotzdem nur die Kleine bestellt. Nachdem ich knapp 1/3 gegessen hatte, war ich total überfressen und musste schon fast den Hosenknopf öffnen xD Melanie hat übrigens brave AUFGEGESSEN!!! Keine Ahnung wie diese Bohnenstange das macht...^^

Emfehlenswert ist es auf jeden Fall, vor allem auch für grössere Gruppen (dann kann man nämlich die kleine Portion teilen oder auch eine Grosse bestellen ;)).

Last week, Melanie and I tried out an italian restaurant on State Street. Actually I've already been at Palazzio's but it was the first time for Melanie. We were starving after 3 cambridge course lessons (4h in total) but still ordered the smaller portion. I just could handle 1/3 of the pasta, then I gave up and almost had to open the botton of my pants xD 
Melanie ate it all!!! I have no idea how this skinny person can eat so much (and not gaining any weight!!!) ^^

I recommend the restaurant, especially for bigger groups. It's nice to share a small portion with someone or even order the "normal" one ;)

Snow Patrol Concert

Drei Mal dürft ihr raten, wo ich am Samstag hingehe....zum Snow Patrol Konzert in Santa Barbara!!! Yayyy! Das Ticket hat nur 44$ gekostet, unglaublich was?! Normalerweise stehe ich ja auf HipHop, Bands wie The Skript, Kings Of Leon, Coldplay, Mumford and Sons und Snow Patrol sind aber gleich nach allen guten HipHop Artisten auf meiner Playliste.

Freut ihr euch für mich?! Na hoffentlich.... =P

Guess where I'm going on Saturday?! To a Snow Patrol concert in Santa Barbara!!!! Yayyy! The ticket was only 44$! Normally I'm all about HipHop but bands like The Skirpt, Kinds Of Leon, Coldplay, Mumford and Sons and Snow Patrol are on my playlist right after all my fave HipHop artists!

Alaska or California?!

Meine Familie und Freunde wissen es schon und die, die meinen Blog verfolgen koennen es erahnen. Von was ich rede? Davon, dass ich mir hier in der Nacht den Allerwertesten abfriere xD
Durch den Tag ist es hier immer noch schoen warm (zwischen 24-30°C) jedoch am Abend und in der Nacht wird es hier scheisse kalt (finde ich). Deshalb habe ich mir nun ein paar Fusswaermer gekauft (fuer nur 18 Dollar). Sind sie nicht wahnsinnig suess mit dem Muster und dem kuscheligen (falschen) Fell? :) Also ich bin hin und weg und muss nun nicht mehr mit Socken und FlipFlops rumlaufen (ja Papa ich weiss, schrecklich! Nur du darfst mit Socken und Sandalen rumlaufen xD). Ich weiss echt nicht, ob ich in Alaska ueberleben koennte...Ich wage dieses Experiment lieber nicht... 

My family and friends already know it and the regular reader of my blog may knows it too. What the heck I am talking about? That I'm freezing my butt of at night!! xD
It's still really warm/hot here in Santa Barbara (75-84°F) but in the evening it's getting chilly (at least I think so). That's why I bought those babies (for only 18 Dollars). Aren't they absolutely adorable? xD At least those (faux) furry shoes with the cute pattern are better than walking around in the combo of socks and flipflops xD (I know daddy, how dare am I?! It's only your privilege to wear socks with sandals xD). I'm not sure, if I had a chance to survive in Alaska....I'd better not try...
